My Holiday Home Tour ……a Jingle Through Décor Blog hop

I am sure I am  like most people in the fact that I absolutely love Christmas! I love it all, the holiday baking, the lights, the trees and of course the décor!! One of my favorite things about holiday decorating is there literally are no rules and everyone does it different and they do it in a way that is special to them and shows their style. I was really excited when I got asked to be apart of a Christmas decor blog hop! I am teaming up with 7 awesome bloggers with great holiday ideas so be sure to follow us along!

This year I  decided to change up my holiday décor. I actually  really cut back, I have been feeling more of a simple neutral vibe in my everyday style and chose to carry it over to my Christmas decorations.I typically have 4 Christmas trees and I chose to continue that tradition this year but I do always style them differently, my husband says that I have one for each one of my personalities (insert laughing emoji).

To start my tour we enter through my foyer, you will notice all the simple silver frames, its tradition to take my boys to see Santa and get pictures taken, these are some of my favorite holiday memories and I love having them all displayed. My main tree sits in my formal living, I purchased a new flocked Christmas tree. It was a huge  dandruff like mess to assemble and fluff, but I do believe that it was worth it. I kept the decorations simple and classic with ribbon, ornaments and picks in silver, gold, and white.

Our sitting area decorations are a more simple style. I fell in love with this “ Charlie Brown “ type Christmas tree. I had debated on getting a real tree but my parents had a horrible experience with one as a kid and I have been scared ever since! But I do feel like this tree is the next best thing! I kept the ornaments simple with just small mercury glass ones and added wooden beads. The galvanized tree topper from the Hearth and Home collection was a perfect addition. I did add some color to my sofa with these great holiday pillow covers! To continue with the simple feel I found the most real greenery I could and dressed my mantel, stair rail and table with it. I did use real wreaths and tree cuttings in the kitchen and guest bathroom, just because I do love the fresh scent!

The tree in my master bedroom is actually my favorite for many reasons, I never decorate it because I just love it the way it is simple and beautiful. I have always said a bedroom needs to be relaxing and calming and I think a plain flocked tree fits the bill! There is nothing better than after a crazy day then watching a Christmas movie in bed by the light of the tree!

Last but not least is my boy’s tree. This tree is always the most fun because I give my kids free reign on placing the ornaments, I only drives me half crazy at their arrangements! This is also the tree that holds their homemade ornaments and our traditional yearly Hallmark ornaments. My mom started the tradition of getting a new one every year growing up and it was always a favorite of mine, so I love being able to carry it on with my boys.

Thank you for letting me share my twist on holiday decorating and hopefully I didn’t bore you to death! LOL and I hope that you continue on the blog hop! Desiree at is next!! Also I added all the blogs on the hop, just in case you are a rebel and want to go out of order!
